Pros

Paid well for seasonal work, and I ended up loving my teams of tax pros and my coworkers.

Cons

The way the company tied bonuses to work for tax pros created a bad environment and encouraged competition rather than cooperation between tax pros, so building a trusting and bonded team was challenging. That, and constant difficult conversations with upset clients who were expecting a different tax outcome was exhausting, and there was little to no support or training from upper management on handling those conversations. Not to mention the impact that COVID had on the 2020 tax year - the job was tough.

Quiet at times. Sterile. Always know what’s going on with taxes

Cons

Constantly running around and putting miles on your car. Company just touches numbers when the issue is their marketing and prices. Salaried so they can work you 12 - 13 hours a day and pay the same as 8
