Pros

Alignment of business goals and personal development opportunities in the last 3 years have definitely created a more customer centric dynamic. I come to work each day knowing that I can make a difference not only on my own but with a network of very able colleagues both beside and around me to help if I can't reach the right solution. Virtually everyone is willing to assist so that the correct customer outcome is achieved!

Cons

No major cons but every organisation will have someone who thinks that they could do it better. Step up I say.

Pros

I've worked here for over 10 years so I've seen the good the bad and the ugly. I'm pleased to say the last 2 years have been the happiest during my time at HomeServe. One of the biggest and best changes has to be the SMT and how approachable they are. Feedback is encouraged and through the cascade sessions that the whole business attends we are all kept informed of how we are delivering against the original strategy that was set. I admit I wondered if this was a fad and would disappear at some point but it hasn't, everyone is clear on the strategy and feels part of it.

Cons

I'm genuinely struggling here but that's a nice position to be in. As we are now so much more focussed on our People some of the benefits could be reviewed such as maternity leave. I really feel as a business we are leading the way for our Customers but I think there is a little catching up to do for our People.

Pros

HomeServe certainly turned a crisis into opportunity when hit by its FCA issues several years ago. They faced the issues head-on, and used it as the catalyst really to become customer-focused. Since then, the emphasis has been on delivering real value to customers rather than simply making maximum short-term profit. This is good, because HomeServe delivers a fantastic service and once you do that you can drive long term profitability and great employee happiness.

Cons

Hey look, no company is perfect. However, HomeServe manages to maintain some of the benefits of a small business (you're never far from the most senior managers) whilst growing to substantial size.
