Pros

In theory, great benefits and they tried to foster a good culture but the fast-paced environment and unwillingness to build process really just made everything a headache

Cons

Lack of clarity with a lot of goals within company

Thanks for your review. We are disappointed to hear this was your experience. We recognize there’s always room to grow and welcome transparency from all employees. As you know, our Founder’s Memo covers details on our vision, mission, purpose, values and culture. Our mission, to transform businesses and their employees’ lives through strategic enterprise education, permeates everything we do. And our company-wide goals, defined each year and each quarter, are always aligned with that mission. We do work hard and focus on speed, but all InStriders are encouraged to maintain a work-life balance and access our wellness benefits. Please don’t hesitate to also reach out to Feedback@InStride.com if you’d like to share any additional details.

Pros

Some really amazing and brilliant people work here. Everyone seems to be aligned on wanting to help others and make differences in people's lives.

Cons

Get ready to work 12-14 hour days and every weekend. No one will recognize you for going the extra mile, it is expected. The pay is terrible. Little to zero career growth opportunities. Management was a bit of a dictatorship rather than welcoming ideas and listening to what others had to say. By far the most brutal job I have ever had. A lot of people will leave, and you will be expected to take on their work with no recognition or promotions. It was a bit odd to me that we pitched reducing employee turnover and attrition to our clients, yet we had the worst turnover of any company I have ever worked for.

Thank you for your review. As you’ve pointed out, we take pride in hiring top talent who are aligned with our purpose-driven mission. So we’re glad to hear that you found our team to be amazing and passionate about making a difference. We agree. InStride’s culture not only focuses on speed and accountability but also includes teamwork, transparency and fun. We recognize our employees through awards, presentations, special events and wellness activities. Working in a company like ours, we move quickly and put a lot of passion into what we do. We provide resources to our InStriders to help support meaningful balance. For example, we offer a low cost but high value benefits package including OneMedical membership and wellness resources throughout the month such as yoga and mediation sessions. We take your comments very seriously and we’ve surfaced it to key members of leadership. Although we offer an exit interview to collect feedback, please don’t hesitate to also reach out to feedback@InStride.com with additional details.
