Pros

If you’re trying to get your start in recruiting, they have a very comprehensive training program. People come out of Jobspring and Workbridge (sister company) with good recruiting experience. For people like me who isn’t pursuing a career in recruiting after that experience, it was pretty much a waste of time.

Cons

Where do I start...I really wasn’t there for that long, but just being at my new company for a while made me realize how dysfunctional Jobspring was. The review is for the Irvine office, but it looks like from the reviews that these problems plague every location. This is probably due to the fact that they promote from within and the managers who are all under the age of 35 don’t know any better and are used to this environment. If you’re lucky, you could get added to a team where your manager may still be immature, but will at least treat you pleasantly and professionally. If you’re unlucky, you may get added to an aggressive managers team. I’ve seen one of the managers treat his team members to the point that the girls on his team are in tears all the time. I get that we are in a sales environment where you have to push people sometimes to succeed, but to the point where it’s done in a way that’s unprofessional and down right aggressive?? It was honestly hard to watch sometimes and was a big reason why I quit so soon. You’re in an smaller open office environment and you literally sit in front of your manager. Everything you say or do is being watched. If you say something wrong on the phone with a candidate or client, your manager will publicly point out your wrong doing right then and there in front of your team and the rest of the office. You have to take your lunch from 12-1. If you walk in at 1:01, you will get a snarky comment from one of the managers. Anytime you take off for things like doctors appointments, you’re going to be suspected of interviewing and grilled by the managers. The ones who made it to the sales aspect of the job have to do extra work after work at home UNPAID to “source” for leads. If you work on this during work hours, you’re going to be told off. Oh and you’re going to have mandatory training half an hour early on Tuesday and Thursdays. Not to mention, the compensation is ridiculous. You have to do about 20 deals for you to be a lead recruiter and earn commission. They said this will take about a year to a year and a half. But when i worked there, there was literally no lead recruiter, which means most people don’t last that long. Until then, every candidate you place adds 1k to your annual salary, which equals to about $83 per MONTH, while your manager takes home a big check for your hard work.

Pros

I think that the training program was okay.

Cons

They have happy hours every week, but you're looked down upon if you don't go. I had a very negative experience. I felt like management was very harsh and not encouraging at all. I left after a few months because of the anxiety and panic attacks I would get, which I've never experienced before this job..... Beware. Culture was horrible for me personally and you don't get paid much.

Pros

This was my first job out of college and I have enjoyed it immensely. They have an amazing training program that prepares you for their fast paced environment. There's tons of support from management and because they promote from within you know everyone earned their spot. You have potential to grow really quickly here. You'll develop an amazing network that will help you later on in your career.

Cons

It is hard work. If you don't have a good work ethic you will struggle here. You need to be able to handle rejection well because people will hang up on you. There is a fair amount of pressure to succeed.

Pros

* Amazing training program. * Managers who care about your success and are great mentors. * Tons of opportunity for career advancement. Most people in leadership, including CEO & President, started off entry level. * Fun fast paced environment. * Ability to develop a variety of skills - sales, recruiting, business development, relationship building, etc. * Get to work with top tier technology clients. * Opportunity to make significant income as you learn the business. * Proven model with clear differentiators from the competition. If you are thinking about joining Robert Half, Insight Global, etc., don't and join Jobspring. * Lot of opportunity for recognition and rewards for high performance - team outings, happy hours, etc. * Company is experience tremendous growth, which translates to continued opportunities for employees.

Cons

* The job takes some time to learn in the beginning. There will be challenges, but that is true of any place. * They like competitive people that will push themselves. If you aren't willing to work hard and put in the effort, you won't see success. * There really aren't any major cons. It really comes down to knowing what you are signing up for. If you want an HR or coordinator job, this is not that. If you want to learn business and do sales, it's a great place to work.

Pros

Some of the best training when it comes to professional development in the recruiting industry. Coming from other staffing firms, this was the first time I've seen a training program geared around tiered growth i.e. first 3 months, very structured and organized training. After that, you're attending regular weekly meetings based on your current skill set. Most places give you a two week crash course in how to do the job where they fly you out to corporate, send you back with some training material and online dashboards to complete...from there, you're thrown into the mix and setup with strict metrics after 60-90 days. Also, the opportunity to grow your career from within the organization is non-comparable. Most people have the opportunity to be promoted to an assistant manager role within 12-18 months based on performance. From there, you're able to grow and move to different markets and acquire a whole new set of skills...opportunity wise, you don't see this in other recruiting agencies.

Cons

This is NOT your average 9-5 but those who are successful in this industry don't get there by working less and getting lucky. Naturally you'll see some turnover but again, this job is not meant for everyone.

Pros

Since they do hire exclusively entry level it can be a great place to get your start in the working world. The other people you are trained with are usually in the same beginner position you are. The young work culture can be fun as well as you are surrounded by people close to your age in your city. The training (aka first 6 months) can be a little brutal but overall was a great crash course into the industry for someone with no previous office exp. You will be cold calling CEO's after being there only 3 months so it is great exposure to cold calling/basic sales right off the bat.

Cons

Jobspring provides a good entry level career, but with that entry level career comes entry level management. Employees are rushed along towards a promotion without having a chance to truly prove their leadership skills. Because of this the overall maturity level of the office isn't conducive to career growth outside of the firm.Your experience here will be largely dictated by your specific manager, HR is not at all present and in my experience the higher ups wont pay any attention to whats going on with other teams on deeper than a potential-deals level. This leads to some potential problems.. as the company only promotes internally each and every person in management was hired as an entry level employee. This sounds kind of cool right? Keep in mind this also means that each manager has only been given one example of the working world (and what is appropriate for work). In my experience the example set for my manager while they were coming up was not a good one and this was carried over to their management style. My team struggled to navigate the challenges that went along with this on a daily basis and crying in the bathroom was not at all uncommon ( I wish I was joking) The job itself is also tough, recruiting is a challenging industry and deals can fall apart for a zillion reasons-most out of your control. My advice: start here to gain experience and if the environment/job is not for you, take your exp and RUN to something better. ALSO: the compensation information they give you in the interview is misleading, you wont get bonuses for placements until you have completed the three month training program and they also take months to pay them out so don't count on them as available income. (it's their strategy for retaining employees who want to leave but need to collect the bonus) ALSO II: there were 8 teams in my office, all lead by men. There were almost 5 men in the office to each woman. Something to be aware of if considering taking a job here.

Pros

Nice office and fun coworkers, solid training program

Cons

The micromanagement is unbearable. You must thoroughly describe what your plan is every morning and afternoon and the managers will make you repeat after them while you are on the phone. No commission is possible until you have already made the company 200K+ in revenue
