Legends Senior Living (Park West Plaza Facility)

This nursing home and assisted living is a private pay facility; there isn’t any complicated Medicare or Medicaid charting guidelines. The residents are elderly residents who need assistance in their retirement. Since this facility does not have Medicare or Medicaid services available, there isn’t any IV’s or too complicated or sick patients. Basically, this facilities population is elderly people who are wheelchair bound and need transferring/ dressing assistance or those who are suffering from dementia and are no longer safe in a home environment.

Cons

The facility is very unstable, creating a stressful and unprofessional atmosphere. Staffing is always short- in every department- but felt most in nursing. This facility is constantly trying to cut corners financially, leaving staff to work in unsafe and dangerous work environments. There are huge problems with communication between staff and management. The management of this facility acts unethically with disregard employee labor laws and safe nursing practices. The schedule is never set in stone and can change day to day, leaving it the employee’s responsibility to call everyday to find out if they are working the next day or not.

Cons

Very bad corporate culture for employees, no matter what you are getting paid it is not worth it. they literally do not care about or value anything you do or say. The owner and a few that report directly to him see them selves as royalty and expect to be treated that way when they are in your presence and in return you are treated like peons who are not worthy of any type of acknowledgement form them. They thrive off the intimidation and fear they create.

none. seriously. none. Their policies and desire to make a buck are unbelievable. They need more lawyers than nurses to handle all of the lawsuits.

Cons

they will hire anyone if you're willing to work for low pay. They only care about the money. Search how many lawsuits they have for their horrible practicies of cutting corners at every step. cheap food, cheap care, cheap house cleaning, zero accountability. horrible untrained management. they should be running fast food restaurants, not pretending to care for humans.
