Pros

None you get a check....

Cons

The atmosphere is horrendous they force you to lie to carriers and they try to cut the actual trucker that does the job money after they pay the driver fuel and all the expenses for the equipment.

Pros

Standard good medical benefits as a full time employee. Management puts in a decent effort to train you for the job. No dress code.

Cons

Please take into consideration all the negative reviews because they are so accurate. The environment appeals to recent college students because its a frat house. They play music and make it seem “fun” but there is nothing fun about the job. It’s sales- if you don’t meet your quota you will be fired. Also, you are making outbound calls all day, about 200 calls daily and soliciting business. Management in Charlotte office was unprofessional and inexperienced in leading a team. It’s all about if you “fit in” and who you are buddy buddy with, and they expect you to be social and look down on you if you don’t get drinks after work. Management often showed favoritism within the group, it’s also not a team environment, you are competing against everyone every day. You are just a number and company expects you to work long hours for no overtime pay. Working hard, staying late all the time is the standard and they don’t want employees to have a work/life balance. If you leave right at 5 pm its seen as you are not working hard enough and it’s noticed because everyone stays til at least 5:30 or 6:00 pm. There is a reason only young college grads work here and trust me, you can do better. They have high turnover, literally they hire hundreds of people at a time and it’s a revolving door with people in and out.

Pros

Can dress how you want. It is very common when employees leave for them to file, and win, HR lawsuits against NTG for discrimination, sexual harassment, or even abuse. This makes it possible to get a nice compensation package when you leave

Cons

EXTREMELY TOXIC WORK ENVIRONMENT. All offices are run like fraternities with racism and sexism being very noticeable in all 12 NTG offices. They like to hire fresh out of college so they can get away with grossly underpaying their sales reps. This also allows them to offer extremely lackluster PTO and benefits packages without much pushback. They expect you to be available and accessible for 12-15 hours per day. From the Regional General Managers to the team leaders, the management team is overall inexperienced and unprofessional which leaves them grossly unprepared to handle many of the issues you encounter from day to day. Your direct manager will likely be a 24 year old fresh out of college with around 12-16 months of logistics experience. Extreme micromanagement from day one.
