Pros

I just need something to put here to meet the 5 word minimum.

Cons

Read these reviews. You’ll notice that there is a very large margin between positive and negative experiences here - this is clearly tied between company favoritism (or complete niativity). Because this is a millennial-seeking company, companies like NTG rely on positive employee feedback to gain new hires and they beg current employees to post positive feedback on their social outlets (don’t fall for it). Dog-eat-dog, revolving door, low retention rates, and no work-life balance are just a few reasons not to waste your time and energy here. The best way to describe your job here is “frat party”, but being shunned if you walk in the door at 7:55am or leave at 5:05pm (you’re salaried and also expected to take carrier/customer calls after hours. I had the BAT phone overnight and would get calls anytime from 1am to 5am). The mood of your office depends on your GM and if he (there are no “she’s”) got reamed out that morning, prepare to feel the wrath. You’ll know instantly if you’re an outcast in your office (socially and by the lack of support you receive). You’ll continue to have nightmares about this place even after you’ve left.

Pros

You can wear your PJs to work if you want. Oh and you get cheap beer at 4:00 PM on Fridays, but they probably took that away too.

Cons

I could actually write a term paper on how incredibly poor this company is managed, mainly the Chicago office, but because this stems from upper management, I blame them for lack of real training and selection. THIS CAN EASILY BE SOLVED PEOPLE. It's not rocket science, really. Well, be prepared to live on a salary below poverty level if you live in Chicago, regardless of your education or experience, ESPECIALLY if you are in operations. I feel so sorry for all of the Operations- not only are you just succumbing to everyone's demands with no appreciation WHATSOEVER, the commission scale for them is a complete joke along with starting salary. You might get like $100-$300 bonus your first 6 mos by slaving over your loads and working beyond your means. Chicago's Office has by far the highest turnover rate of this entire company, and probably because they replaced their management with employees who they basically were like *shrugs* "they'll do, I guess". The management offers absolutely ZERO positive reinforcement, absolutely no positive feed back (they have no trouble screaming at you for not making enough calls or tracking enough loads, but will fail to mention the qualities you handle well), and zero motivation. They don't provide constructive criticism whatsoever to help better you as an employee personally and professionally, but instead just demand for you to make more calls. Where is the growth here? Isn't that the whole point of a career anyway (besides obviously earning a living)? Also, you should hire management who are approachable and who will actually listen to you and make a difference. Never saw that once. I just wish the upper management took their satellite office management seriously with competitive pay, extensive training, and REAL FEEDBACK! You might be able to keep an employee longer than 6 mos every now and then. Good luck to those are still out there, hang in there!

Pros

Fun environment; Can wear pretty much whatever you want; there is a lot of opportunity to learn .

Cons

Management is abusive; treats people badly; if they don't want to keep you they fire you with no notice or real reason. They don't care about anything but making money.
