Pros

Good mission and well meaning rank and file employees.

Cons

Tyrannical old school CEO has created a culture of fear and has a senior leadership team that lack management skills. People are afraid to speak up or either don’t know or don’t want to know there are problems. Lots of meetings and lack of operational expertise means problems don’t get solved or take a long time to solve. Company has little technical expertise, except for IT team. Little investment in R&D. Talented people leaving. Combine all of the above and you get a company losing steam.

Pros

Front-line associates are passionate and despite lack of support, keep the ship afloat.

Cons

Company operates like a Pyramid marketing org. Management keeps hiring chief-this, chief-that to parade out at conferences. Very little cohesion and transparency. There are 3 “People” officers alone. CEO pulls back on 401k match during pandemic, then goes about acquiring companies while sticking it to associates and praises the “largest acquisition the company has ever made”. Only seems interested in the next equity event which allows him to pull his golden parachute. Has burned through strong leaders and change agents from the likes of Amazon and run the place like his own little fiefdom. Created a culture of blame, cutthroat behavior and stand-offs across departments. Lackluster investment in technology for many years and is getting pummeled by the likes of Medalia and Qualtrics with speed to market and modernization. Was totally against consumerism for years, makes one acquisition, acts as if they were all about it from the start. Total lack of authenticity. Each year they campaign associates to vote for their CEO on influential healthcare leaders list or push to slant the glass door ratings higher. Has zero interest in any constructive employee feedback especially exit interviews.

Pros

Free coffee when forced to come into the office for no reason whatsoever.

Cons

Everything else. Low pay, terrible benefits, zero training/documentation for anything. Constantly changing processes dealing with a poorly built new platform. If you’re unfortunate enough to be within the radius of an office, you will have to come in. It is not a fully remote position; even though it absolutely can be AND WAS for several years. This job has completely eroded my mental health to the point where I’m on the verge of quitting every single day. People are extremely unhappy here; with the exception of the upper level management, who is completely out of touch with what we do or what we deal with on a daily basis. Advice for potential employees: DON’T TAKE THE JOB!
