Pros

Co-workers, that's it, nothing else

Cons

Manage by threats and intimidation, no employee dare speak up or point out problems and shortcomings. Managers are encouraged by Human Resources to threaten employees and treat employees as disposable commodities. Managers show favoritism, bosses pets. Falsify time sheets for pets. The employee "Workplace Resource Guide" is a work of fiction, never followed, ignored. Licensed techs are routinely ordered to ignore licensing requirements.

Pros

I was working with very experienced and knowledgeable CT technologists. Gained valuable experience quickly due to the huge volume of patients that came in for CT's. We had a nurse, thank god, to start our lines (about half the time) and gave beta blockers to the Cardiac patients. However, the Techs had to start lines a lot too because of how busy we were.

Cons

The company would schedule all studies 10 minutes apart and take walk in's too. This included all CTA studies. Cardiac studies would be 40 minutes but they still took walk in's regardless. Front desk constantly made mistakes with the registration and we had to go to them to have it fixed which ate away at our time to scan. When we finally got the patient in we also had to ask about 10-15 questions about their history. We were constantly rushing patients in and rushing them out as quickly as we could because 10 minutes just wasn't enough time to do everything and then scan. There were just a lot of angry patients that wanted to know why they had to wait so long for their scan. Overall, the take way to all the cons is that it leads to poor patient satisfaction.

Pros

The people that I work with are really the only reason that I would list as a "pro". I like the majority of the people that I work with, including my immediate supervisor. He is fair, and does his best to let the team know what is going on.

Cons

Mainly the pay not being commensurate with the experience. Also, the fact that while 99% of staff have not had pay increases in 5 years, our Upper Management (VP's etc.) have seen an increase in either their pay, or they have been awarded bonuses.
