Don't put in your two weeks!

Pros

The therapy department was excellent to work with.

Cons

I had hurt my back four times in less than a year. While on light duty for the most significant injury, I decided to change employment for my personal safety. A day after putting in my two weeks notice, I was asked to leave. HR treated me with such disrespect and lack of human decency, it ruined my perception of Renown Health as a whole. I was escorted to my car and was not permitted to say goodbye to the coworkers who had become my friends. While being told to leave the premise, she stalked behind me and asked my manager to follow us “for another set of eyes”. She made me feel like I was being fired, when in fact I was the one who resigned. A company that would stoop so low to save less than two weeks pay for an employee, who had been hurt on their watch, is not a company I could ever encourage others to work under.

Pros

Always work to be done. Coworkers are great. Overtime . That's about it, suggest you spent little time hear as core staff

Cons

Low pay for middle workers, benefits are trash if you're already not getting paid much which affects all auxiliary work processes and main workflows. If you're single (no family) Say good bye to your weekends and holidays with little negotiating. I honestly think this place is a for profit organization that prides itself on paying its workers nothing so that the directors can pocket 6 figures. If you're a nurse just become a travel Nurse. Core staff gets miss treated and the organization has to hash out millions to pay for traveler nurses due to the fact that they can't keep core staff it is hilarious. Will definitely be leaving soon just like all other core staff

Pros

It was my first job after nursing school

Cons

Not a place I would plan to work longterm. They seem to have trouble retaining us nurses, thats because of the ridiculous number of patients one person is expected to care for. It is not safe, and as of yet I see no signs that anything will change. We get tired of this environment pretty quick, and lose our motivation to perform our duties due to such high levels of stress.
