      100% remote pay is fair 401K small match

      The emphasis is on working where the work can be done best. The problem is that the work life balance is a myth. Working remotely means you can work 50 hours and should not complain. Their system is overburdened with processes that are time-consuming and not beneficial to the claim process. There is no longevity, high turnover is not an accident.

      ROOTS is unlike any other organization I have worked with. It is not just a shelter. It is a space that believes deeply in elevating staff, building real leadership from within, and creating systems that care for everyone, not just guests. There is a strong culture of training, growth, and accountability. I have seen people supported into roles they never imagined for themselves because ROOTS sees potential and actively invests in it. What stands out most to me is the commitment to radical honesty. Not in a harsh way, but in a way that is transparent, values-driven, and grounded in care. Feedback here is not one-sided. It is part of an ongoing conversation about how to grow and how to do this work in ways that are sustainable and human. ROOTS is doing this work with heart, clarity, and courage. If you care about mission, growth, collaboration, and real conversations, I cannot recommend it enough.
