      Pros

      Working from home, the claims system is easy to navigate.

      Cons

      Small company so you have to do more things than at larger company. They just let go a lot claims help and it makes no sense for adjusters to have to do so much related to the claim

      Pros

      Company really cares about employees. Decent benefit package, free lunch and well tended office.

      Cons

      Management really is quick to change direction. Very little follow through on projects. Often focuses on fads instead of fundamentals. Very little chance for advancement in certain areas.

      Great place to work for if job is secured

      Pros

      Root has a wonderful culture and training program. The relationships that I made in the short time I was there I hope they carry with me in the future. I was very happy and satisfied while employed with Root and I was sad to go.

      Cons

      The recent Mass Layoff that occurred at Root affected over 300 people and unfortunately, I was one of them. Whereas I do understand that there are some hiccups with a startup company, I feel that Root was not transparent regarding the layoff. I feel that they overhired as over 100 of that 330 were let go from my department alone. We did ask if we had anything to worry about and we were told no, everything is fine and then we were notified the morning of our shift that we were all getting let go. In the end, Root made me a better agent however; ensure your job security if that is a concern of yours.
