The real trouble started when SRS was bought by an investment firm a couple of years ago. They started driving unrealistic deliverable schedules and hired a goon as development manager to coerce, threaten and bully people into working 60+hour weeks. One high level manager even promised at a department meeting that their would be bonuses if schedules were met, This turned out to be untrue, because schedules were met but no bonuses were payed. Sometimes things have a wonderful way of resolving themselves. The two managers above were shown the door because it became obvious they were incompetent and the investment firm is left with a product that is, to be kind, sub-par and unmaintainable.

Pros

Remote work from home options, competitive salary although it seems a sixty hour minimum week is expected.Personal reviews are based on ranking of peers.

Cons

Unobtainable Expectations / Low Morale / Poor Product / Unhappy clients. This is the only job I've ever held where I 'got in trouble' for not turning an assignment in early. Simply crazy expectations.

Cons

Just underwent major management changes. The CEO who founded the company based on great customer service has left / sold in order to pursue other avenues. Not sure where the company is headed. Layoffs.
