Pros

Great people, leadership that owns the company AND cares about people, great business model positioned for growth...what else do you need

Cons

if you want more of a big company just do your role job, this might not be the place. Everyone is able and expected to be creative and to help where you can.

Pros

Very little micro management, you have tasks you need to get done and you find the best workflow for yourself to get those tasks done. If you need help, there are clear channels you can go to get that information and will learn at the same time. Since COVID, most of the company now works remotely. Of course, working from home is a major benefit, but you can lose company culture at the same time because you can't just turn around and talk to your coworkers. Square 9 has done an excellent job at prioritizing ways to promote socialization in a work from home environment. From yearly department events, water cooler chat rooms, a Company Holiday party, or even just optional after work events (both virtual and in person), you still feel like you know your team even if you haven't met some of them in person yet. During COVID, I never had to worry about if I was going to lose my job. Leadership was very transparent with what they were doing and what the company was planning to do allow us to continue with business as usual. This was extremely reassuring in a time of great uncertainty. You know in each company there's typically at least "that one person" that everyone knows is just not fun to work with. In my time here, there has not been one person that was not kind and genuine. Everyone here respects one another and celebrates when they get positive feedback from customers or receive a well earned promotion.

Cons

When starting, there is a significant learning curve. Square 9 has products that are very customizable and requires a significant amount of training that the company provides. The training period can be very long, about 2 to 3 months, before they release you to a production team, but if you can get through that, your efforts will be rewarded.

Smaller Company that is consistently changing to find the right processes to stay competitive and yet grow. Sometimes changes are done too quickly.
