Hello:
It is disheartening for me to know that you are so unhappy. I want every employee that works at STARK to enjoy coming to work, understand they are the reason for our success and to know that they have multiple company channels throughout which they can express their concerns. Since I do not know if you have already spoken to anyone about your concerns I am inviting you today to reach out to me so we can discuss and resolve any issues with the company you might have. My email is cstark@starkcarpet.com If you are not comfortable speaking with me directly, you can always speak with a member of our HR or Management Team.
While it is not my intention to diminish your feelings in anyway, I would like to address some of the inaccuracies in your posting.
The company is not having layoffs. We made operational decision to move some positions to our Calhoun facility and actually have more employees today than we’ve ever had before! We offered every employees affected by this move the opportunity to move to Calhoun. We also have either helped the affected employees find new jobs within the company or paid out very generous severance.
While it is true that we have either hired or promoted employees into a few VP roles, this is normal for a growing company. I am very proud that we are able to promote from within.
As far as more management meetings at the local level, you can make that suggestions to suggestions@starkcarpet.com or speak with management directly. While Managers have different management styles I think group meetings as you suggest are a very productive idea, in fact I hold these type of meeting with my direct reports frequently.
Finally I would like to note for the records that the company has invested much into employees benefits such as; company paid life insurance, generous amounts of paid time off, company funded Employee Stock Ownership Plan and subsidized medical insurance for all employees.
Sincerely,
Chad Stark
Sr. VP Operations
