Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand that productivity expectations and career growth opportunities are important to our team members, and we take these concerns seriously. Our goal is to set standards that are both realistic and aligned with industry benchmarks, while ensuring patient care remains our top priority. Based on consistent feedback from employees and new hires, we believe our productivity standards are more reasonable than those at many other organizations. In fact, some therapists choose to join Symbria because of these expectations. That said, we recognize that these standards can feel challenging at times, and we remain committed to reviewing them regularly. We also acknowledge the importance of professional development. Our HR and operational teams are committed to creating and implementing growth pathways and is at the forefront of our retention strategy. Your input is valuable in helping us improve, and we appreciate you taking the time to share it. If you would like to discuss further or provide additional suggestions, please reach out to us at askhr@symbria.com. Thank you for your dedication to patient care and for helping us identify areas for improvement.

Pros

The pay was competive for the Pittsburgh market for both FT and the PRN position. Everything else was bad.

Cons

You are expected to run all day from patient to patient to get your minutes in. No support staff, no support from management who were in endless meeting or attempting to treat patients themselves because of high turn over of therapy staff. Encouraged to do concurrent treatments to get more billable minutes. Big push for billing patients for all you can--ultrasound often added on to patients to increase billable minutes. You are pushed to get higher productivity. No pay for holidays, you are expected to work on holidays at your regular pay. The whole "employee owned" deal is just a way of getting out of contributing to your 401 K. Health plan also not good. Very questionable ethics. Frequent turn over of the staff, staff who remainded were unhappy and stressed.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We take concerns about workload, support, and ethical practices very seriously. Our goal is to create an environment where employees feel supported and empowered to provide exceptional patient care. We understand that productivity expectations can feel challenging, and we regularly review these standards to ensure they are realistic and aligned with industry benchmarks. We also strive to provide adequate support and resources to our teams and recognize that staffing challenges can impact this experience. Your feedback regarding management accessibility and staff turnover is noted, and we are committed to improving communication and support across all levels. Regarding treatment practices and billing, we want to emphasize that patient care and ethical standards are our top priorities. We do not encourage unnecessary services and continuously monitor compliance to ensure integrity in all aspects of care. We also review our benefits and policies annually, including holiday pay and retirement plans, to remain competitive and meet employee needs.
