Pros

Remote, always overtime available, equipment provided for you.

Cons

Benefits are severely lacking. No paid holidays, and the 4 holidays you do get off you can’t work for double pay. You have to take the day off and you can either work 4-10s to get your 40 hours or 4-8s and miss 8 hours pay. Insurance is there only because they are required to provide it due to the amount of employees, so it is more expensive than state run insurance. PTO is awful. 1.3 hours every 2 weeks, so you work your tail off and only get like 4 paid days per year. I’ve taken one 3-day vacation in 2.5 years and only had enough vacation to cover two days. The job can be super stressful depending on your LOB. I take 80-90 calls a day, KPIs must be met daily, your supervisor is constantly on you every day reminding you where your stats need to be at, even though you know what they need to be, even if you are meeting them. Every second of time is accounted for, so you must be on the phones literally within 60 seconds of clocking in, there is no room for mistakes or settling in.

A Mess, and Then Some..

Pros

Training is paid, and I received my insurance license for no cost after passing the state exam.

Cons

Everything else. From mismanagement to payment delay (of over a month), I left after passing training because I was told we would not get paid for our time if we were not physically in queue to receive phone calls — even though the systems that were constantly having outages had nothing to do with my personal internet connection or ability to connect to the server. It was ridiculous, I would never recommend this place to anyone — short of being an outright scam, Teleperformance would rather lose employees and hire new people than make sure to take care of the ones who dedicate their time and effort to becoming an asset to the team. There’s a reason they refuse to answer the turn-over rate question during the interview process — it’s 99.999999%. Also, and this is equally appalling yet somehow less egregious than not getting paid for over a month for my time, but I had no idea who my manager was — only my shift leader, and if that person was out there was no clear way to get any issues resolved, which is why I ended up leaving and found out about the non-payment for “technical issues” the company was having remotely.

Pros

It is a job and it is a decent entry level position just don't stay too long and lose yourself. - Attractive starting pay for entry level - Semi-relaxed work environment - Paid training - Helps you develop a tough shell - Almost impossible to get fired, though they will threaten you a lot after you're there for awhile - You can make friends and there's just about every type of person there

Cons

The workplace is a dusty fluorescent light lit work area. The computers are pretty bare bones and have the tendency to lag and crash and cause your tools to cease functionality, which will just exacerbate the frustration of customers on your line. This isn't the job for someone who cannot take criticism and stress it will break you either the people you talk to will or the management will crush your will to care anymore. Again this is a job but my personal recommendation is go somewhere else even if it pays less because it's not worth the stress or frustration. This job over my time at the company completely changed me from who I used to be and many other employees present and past will say the same. - Sanitation- ie. sneezed on computer screens which are your responsibility to clean (you'll be sick a lot) - Broken workstations/equipment - You are only as good to them as your numbers they can be your friend one minute and the next not so much - Poor compensation on some projects - Unprofessional Managers- who will swear scream and belittle you - Abysmal HR department (slow and have to submit things more than once) - Have to watch pay stubs closely because they will mess them up a lot (they've been sued for unpaid wages before) - They don't accept doctors notes when you're sick unless you out for 6 consecutive shifts which falls into LOA - Promotions are usually a popularity contest - You are not allowed to go to the restroom whenever you need to you have 30 mins of break daily and a lunch that's it - Parking is non-existent -You have to check your stubs to make sure you are paid holiday pay as well as overtime. - Impossible to maintain metrics (call time, satisfaction rating, etc.) - Constantly hiring and not taking account of current employees parking and having an available workstation - Poor communication this company will change your schedule while you are on vacation and not tell you - When you are on vacation and upon your return there will be times they yell at you for your stats even though you've been on vacation - Your health will decline (Weight Gain, Depression, Irritability, Migraines)
