Pros

They are a Subsidiary of ford so you do get the perks especially when you are buying or leasing a ford vehicle. They are flexible on hours and will work around your schedule if you have kids.

Cons

Stop hiring family members, friends, etc who have no business in being in a upper management role. Managers need to stop trusting the wrong people in making their decisions on what to do with people in the group who they think are causing "trouble" Need more raises. Reviews are a joke because they will base it on you as a person then on your work performance which can cost you getting a good raise at the end of the year. HR needs to not be afraid and step up to the plate when co-workers complain about other people. If there is an issue in the group - the supervisor needs to step up to the plate and figure out what is going on with that person and see if something can be done. More training needs to be done in different departments and same departments so people can cover if somebody is out sick or on vacation.

Pros

Health Benefits are good Attendance policy is comparatively lenient PTO can be used in 2-hr increments Laid back work atmosphere Very low amount of sub pay for union layoff, spanning only 12 weeks.

Cons

They struggle finding work The prototype automotive industry is changing due to things like gigapress & 3D printing Union workers are treated as second-class citizens by some of the management personnel Nepotism runs rampant Very little room for growth beyond the shop floor if you're doing so based on your own merit with no networking Infinite room for growth for those benefitted by nepotism Loyalty is very rarely rewarded Layoffs are becoming very common, most recent layoff (02/02/2025) including well over 100 people. No clear training system Takes many years to get anywhere, and even with 20+ years, could still be laid off. Some managers are manipulative and will convince you that you could get a promotion to use your labor for their own benefits. Then lay you off. Pay is mediocre, did not keep up with inflation.

Pros

Vacation time, sick and personal time Flexible

Cons

The new management team from FoMoCo that was brought in shortly after moving to SRP is a joke. They do nothing but run fundraisers and bake sales. People are being laid off left and right because they can't seem to figure out how to bring in work from Ford Motor Company and they are Ford employees! The pay is a joke, the review process is useless and the raises might as well not exist. No loyalty to any employee even after putting in your time and effort.
