Pros

One of America’s fastest growing law firms Tons of growth and career opportunities Tully Rinckey has an international presence and services clients throughout the world in various legal matters. I’ve been with the firm for over a decade and have heard saying from management that “loyalty is a two way street”. People who work hard for the company and have been able to achieve results do very well here. This is an entrepreneurial, business driven culture with a focus on doing great work for our clients. I enjoy bagels every Wednesday provided by the firm and Tully Rinckey t-shirt Mondays as well as dress down Fridays. Benefits and 401k are generous compared to what other businesses are offering right now. I believe the firm contributes about 75% to the single employee health insurance plan and the firm has a generous 401k match. There are other benefits like telemedicine that you can elect which are very convenient for me and my family. Annual reviews are given each year and employees are given raises as well as annual bonuses every December. The firm is constantly changing and creating new departments therefore at any given point, a manager might tap and employee and ask them if they want to take on more responsibility in the firm. This is how businesses grow. This firm’s practice is the kind of stuff that you walk away feeling good about at the end of your day. I used to work for a litigation defense firm and foreclosing on someone’s house on Christmas Eve did not feel great. Google “Tully Rinckey turkey for veterans” to learn about how the owners open up their checkbook every year to veterans throughout the state of NY to provide a thanksgiving meal for those who serve our country or are in need. How many other businesses do this? The attorney team is really great although there is some turnover when Associates come out of law school and have a hard time deciding what they want to do in life which Tully Rinckey cannot control. We have some of the best legal minds in the country working for us. You will be hard pressed to find better lawyers in the various legal markets. The firm has learned over the years and improved its hiring practices by paying more for quality attorneys and support staff. There quite a few long standing tenured employees who have prospered greatly from this firm, put their kids through college and most recently equity partners who have been promoted from within who are taking this business to the next level. If you are looking for a team driven, entrepreneurial, business driven business culture, this firm is for you.

Cons

Turnover happens like every other business I have worked for. There are very few surprises however and the firm is fair to its employees throughout the process, clearly defining expectations along the way.

Pros

There is nothing good to say

Cons

Terrible leadership, secret bonus structure, sink or swim mentality with little to no support or training, no respect for employees. Was actively told not to work on cases if the retainer was low.
