Low compensation. Too Corporate. High turn over.

Pros

Good benefits package including 401k. Good place to get trained at and move on to a better paying bank. Not much room to advance.

Cons

Poor salary. A lot of turn over, always short staffed. Upper management seems very stressed and disorganized. Too many responsibilities without the proper pay.

Pros

As a CSR it was one of the easiest jobs ever. Very few duties, just about no one comes in the door so there is little customer interaction. If you wan't a chill, easy going atmosphere and don't care about pay, this is for you. They offer many advancement opportunities available within company, but they don't pay much. The employee benefits offered are pretty good and competitive.

Cons

The pay is terrible. This bank tries to appeal to very conservative people and is equally so when it comes to paying its employees. Unless you are in management or corporate(which I doubt pays that much with this company) you are only going to get between 10-14 an hour for various branch positions. No commission paid for lending so no incentive there either. Another major Con is that the bank is extremely outdated with its products. You will have a hard time recommending this bank to even your family as they don't offer much of anything besides home loans. People you will work with are generally ultra conservative and will let that be known.

Pros

Friendly and comfortable work environment. They invest in employees with lots of training opportunities. The break room is stocked with pop, snacks, lunch supplements, courtesy of the company. Salesmanship is expected of front line employees, but we aren't expected to be high pressure and annoy the clients. We get paid holidays and don't work weekends.

Cons

Higher pay would be nice. My lifestyle is frugal to the point of discomfort. As an entry-level employee, expect to make only slightly higher than minimum wage, but with benefits added. Of course, if you stay with the company long enough and become fully vested in the 401(k), that is equivalent to a substantial bump in pay.
