Beware - Work/Life Balance & Low Pay

Pros

Some benefits are okay. Middle management is full of great people who will guide you and be by your side. "Unlimited PTO"

Cons

Can't stress this enough... absolutely zero work/life balance even though they claim to be conscious of your time. They're offshoring engineering to India and not investing in their existing employees. The work becomes overburdening, the salary isn't competitive, and upper management slow everyone and everything down. They stare at spreadsheets provided by middle management and make rash decisions based on little to zero knowledge of the industry they're affecting. Upper management leaves middle management to do all the heavy lifting, creating a toxic culture and breeding burnout. Any proposed travel budget is nixed 6 months into the year because of excessive executive-level spending. During my employment with Xplor, multiple middle managers stepped down to lower positions because of corrupt upper management requests.

Pros

Only pro is that this is a job and in this market companies like Xplor pays bills.

Cons

Leadership and PE have no idea what to do with Xplor. Leadership is definitely below average compared to all the leaders in technology landscape. In this connected world who makes a company by combining payments business with a SaaS company.

Be weary of positive empty reviews

Pros

Company is constantly growing, you can make something of it if you can stand the cons.

Cons

You should sort by lowest ratings, there are a lot of really good examples of what I am about to say. This place isn’t a tech job, they don’t pay market rate nor do they train you how to actually work in a software company. It’s the good ole boys club with a desire to promote people who look the part. Lots of questionable relationships with managers and employees that everyone can see, but no one acknowledges. The leadership in the organization is focused on how they can look the best to everyone who doesn’t work there, but really care nothing for the people who are there today. In fact, you will probably see a flurry of positive reviews after this is posted, that’s because they care more about their glassdoor rating than employee retention. Be weary of what you see. Go to LinkedIn and see all the people who have left and how long they were there, not many people make it past a year or so because it’s not a place that you can grow and develop in.

Again, we are truly sorry you have had this experience and will do everything we can to address these concerns. In regards to the turnover, our current turnover rate within the Field Services vertical of Xplor is well below industry averages with strong tenure across the division. While we would love to say we have zero turnover, we do understand our rapid growth environment is not for everyone. We have experienced higher than average turnover in our Sales Development function which your comment may be referencing. We are currently working with department leadership to implement changes to address this issue as a top priority.
