⭐ Community Spotlight: The Stafford ⭐ At The Stafford, strong performance is a direct reflection of a team that shows up for each other. Serving both Independent Living and Assisted Living residents in Lake Oswego, this team continues to exemplify Avamere’s mission to enhance the life of every person we serve. From a constant focus on the resident experience to a culture of shared accountability across the building, they consistently demonstrate how alignment, execution, and teamwork shape both experience and performance.
Last week we hosted an all-company call with Mary Kofstad, CEO, live from Avamere at Newberg, where we highlighted the people and teams making an impact every day across Avamere. We heard from Kelcie Mauser, Executive Director; Michelle Bone, Director of Sales and Outreach; and Seth Leard, Director of Culinary, who shared how their team approaches senior living with a focus on personalization, dignity, and meaningful resident experiences. Mary also shared organizational updates and recognized the dedication of our nursing teams in honor of National Nurses Week. Opportunities like these help keep our teams connected, aligned, and focused on our shared mission to enhance the life of every person we serve.

We’re so proud to celebrate one of our Ovation Sienna Hills villa residents, Diane Lyman, who threw out the first pitch at the second annual Lyman Classic at Utah Tech University! ⚾ This special tournament is named in honor of Diane and her family’s incredible legacy of support for Utah Tech and the Southern Utah community. Thank you, Lymans, for inspiring us all and making a lasting impact! 👏
We enjoyed a nacho bar with a side of football for the Super Bowl! Our residents at Ovation Heartwood Preserve's Independent Living didn't worry about the score at the Super Bowl Party. We're just focused on the delicious food. 🏈🏆

Maggie Hilty Katz, Vice President of Business Development at Avamere, earned the 2025 Special Service Award from the Oregon Health Care Association (OHCA) as a strong leader in the healthcare industry and valuable support to the OHCA. Valued partner to OHCA Maggie is a trusted resource for OHCA staff and an active member of the OHCA Convention Committee. She contributes valuable feedback that strengthens both the OHCA Spring Expo and Annual Convention, generously volunteering her time to support these events. In addition, Maggie serves as an American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) Quality Awards Silver Examiner, providing thoughtful evaluations that help communities achieve higher levels of excellence in care. “I am honored to be recognized by the Oregon Health Care Association,” Maggie shared. “Working in skilled nursing is a privilege, serving our valuable seniors and dedicated teams every day.
