My name is Andrea Doepker, and I am a Physical Therapist. In October 2023, I joined Avamere Rehab as the Area Rehab Director for the Vancouver, Portland, and Salem markets. Before this, I worked with Infinity Rehab since 2011 across Avamere buildings and the Kaiser programs. Being part of the Avamere family has been a rewarding experience. Our in-house therapy fosters a sense of unity, and the teamwork and camaraderie within the buildings I oversee create an environment where our therapists can provide high-quality care while growing both personally and professionally. Recently, I was elected as the President-Elect of APTA Oregon. Over the past year, I served as Vice President, and prior to that, I was a board director for three years. It has been an exciting journey to learn more about the role of APTA Oregon in advancing physical therapy in various settings across our state. I’ve also enjoyed collaborating with the chapter to expand our social media presence. I fell in love with Oregon while attending Pacific University for Physical Therapy School. I’m married to a helicopter pilot, and we have two very active boys. I always have fun stories to share about them! As a runner, I’ve caught the marathon bug and will be completing my fourth marathon in April 2024 in Eugene.
This week, 25 nurses from across Washington State started their path to Wound Care Certification. We’re all about backing our care teams with the top skills to give residents the best care possible. Let’s show them some love as they level up in wound care expertise! 💙 #NurseGoals #WoundCareCertified #TeamAvamere #NurseLife #NurseWellBeingProject
