Earlier in 2023, Avamere Rehabilitation of Lebanon was awarded a Bronze Commitment to Quality Award by the AHCA/NCAL. At the national AHCA convention in Denver on October 3rd, Administrator Reahna Cavalli was recognized on-stage for the award. According to the AHCA, “the Bronze Award level provides applicants with the tools and resources they need for continuous improvement in quality care. Through the Bronze criteria, based on the Baldrige Excellence Framework, applicants will assess their organization’s mission, vision, and key factors that lead to success. At this award level, utilizing the criteria questions applicants develop an organizational profile for their center. Applying for the AHCA/NCAL Bronze National Quality Award gives your organization a strong foundation for the second step—the Silver – Achievement in Quality Award level.” Congratulations to Reahna and the Lebanon Rehab team on their achievement!
In a major announcement from President Carl Tabor earlier this month, Avamere Living will begin bringing therapy services in-house at our facilities during the rest of 2023. This will replace contracting therapy with partner Infinity Rehab, and should help Avamere find greater efficiency and quality control with therapy services. To head this new endeavor, JoLynn Munro (MS, OTR/L) has come over from Infinity as the new President of Avamere Rehab. “I am very happy to have the opportunity to build an in-house therapy program alongside the executive team and facility administrators,” writes JoLynn. “I look forward to collaborating with the Avamere teams.” JoLynn has over 30 years serving in the older adult rehab space. Prior to her work with Avamere, JoLynn worked with Infinity Rehab, first as the VP of Operations and then as President during the last 5 years. During her tenure at Infinity, JoLynn worked diligently to meet the unique challenges encountered in healthcare during the transition to PDPM and the COVID pandemic. JoLynn strives to provide skilled and thoughtful leadership within her organization and through her network of colleagues in the skilled nursing industry. She believes a key component of successful leadership is the continuous development of other skilled and committed leaders. She is passionate about therapy and enabling clinicians to deliver the best science-based, compassionate care alongside their facility partners.
