Pros

- Work remotely from anywhere - You get a hoodie with their ugly logo on it - 20 days of PTO

Cons

- New hires are set up to fail with a terribly organized onboarding system. - Many people leave within a year of hiring due to burnout. - Brainlabs takes advantage of new grads and people with no corporate experience by paying them severely under market value. - While there is a place for giving feedback, nothing comes out of it other than a cookie cutter message from HR claiming to sympathize. - Middle management heavy with much of the work delegated to entry level employees. - Promotions aren't based on merit with many people feeling pressured to work outside of their jobs without getting promotions. - Certain managers have no experience in the fields of the people they are managing. - Brainlabs is growing very fast, and any revenue the company makes goes into buying more companies or hiring new people at the top. You will not see any improvement in your work life from this growth, and it typically results in getting more work. It is clear that Brainlabs' primary goal is to appease their investors at the expense of burning out their talent. - Abusive clients.

Thank you for providing your feedback, though I am sorry to hear that your experience was not as positive as we would have hoped. You're right that we are growing fast as our ambition is to be the biggest agency on the planet! However, with that growth does come growing pains. We continue to gather feedback from our entire team regularly both in-person and anonymously so we can continue to improve as an employer! We have recently updated our Brainlabs Academy to provide more in-depth training to new hires new to the industry, including structured shadowing opportunities and sessions to provide more practical and hands-on training.

Pros

It is a job, and you can pursue public speaking and client-facing experience early in your career if that's something you want.

Cons

Brainlabs management reneges on their promises, specifically a) maintaining competitive healthcare benefits, b) promotions, c) pay increases, d) protecting and giving "golden time" to promote ongoing learning, e) not overworking employees. Management are so focused on growing the agency by acquiring new businesses that they completely neglect their talent.

Pros

Kind and smart people, nice perks and benefits. Fast growth if you work on client facing side If you like to learn the harsh realities of life, this is a pretty good place to learn those lessons. That’s the only reason I’m putting this sentence as a pro.

Cons

Working at Brainlabs can be summarized as such: A sales pitch, turned placebo effect, turned Stockholm syndrome all caused by gaslighting from senior leaders once you start feeling the effects and surfacing concerns. Senior leadership is constantly selling to employees without much substance. You’re bought into the idea because they are quite good at presenting ideas. You begin to realize the emptiness of the pitch but won’t leave because the people you work with day to day are so kind and smart and you feel like you’re going through something together. When you finally start presenting your concerns upward, you’re gaslighted to believe what you’re saying is inaccurate.
