Pros

Plenty of really good people trying to do a good job

Cons

VPs who verbally berate those on their team and keep "reorganizing" their departments instead of addressing the issues. Ream a couple of employees and when one of your direct reports warns you to tone it down so you won't end up in HR, you basically dare HR to come after you? Complete lies and gossip taken as the truth. When great people leave and are honest in an exit interview, the VPs in question get busy discrediting and tearing down that employee. Everyone is so busy being out for themselves, they forget they are here for the members and customers who pay their salaries. Healthcare delivery org is particularly out of control and is a massive barrier to achieving anything worthwhile. I have never been afraid to talk to HR before, but I am here. People are afraid to have those "Crucial Conversations" because they turn into crucifixions and you end up with a target on your back. I don't want to look for another job but right now, this is trashing my mental health...and I'm not alone.

Pros

The fantastic company cafeteria, bravo!

Cons

No promotions outside in small teams. High volume meetings that are filled with bickering and pointless hypotheticals. Also, you'd expect a healthcare company to offer decent healthcare, but not if you're under 30, single and need routine visits. Huge ($1650) deductible, didn't cover mental health screening, medication, or doctors visits. Plus they take about $150 out of your paycheck bi-semi weekly, which their way of saying "every week"! "Contractors also make more money then full time employees", I heard the HR employee who gave me the offer of full time employee say this 2 months after I joined full time. He said it outloud by mistake in the elevator lobby.
