Great ideas with poor follow through. You are letting down the people that matter most.
Pros
Great team and company atmosphere. People greet you in the hallways and morale always seems to be high. The satisfaction of doing a job that helps the lives of those in need is a major plus. The health benefits are above average but you still suffer with the weak salary.
Cons
The salary is not good at all. They do not provide cost of living adjustment for us in California. If you work on a team for part of the year and then switch to another team your bonus potential is pro-rated only for the time you spent on your new team. That might be easier to swallow if they told you this when you apply for another team. It would be an understatement to say that everyone gathers around the water cooler to complain about base pay and poor raises (well below industry averages).
