      Pros

      The company has a solid brand of pleasing people, and stands behind that 100% for it's customers. There was the ability to make decent money for the time put in.

      Cons

      If it is busy you may end up working a much longer day than anticipated. They give ABSOLUTELY NO BREAKS during your shift!! A new computer system was implemented during the busy season. Unfortunately the bugs were not worked out beforehand, and a lot of employees lost out on money. I printed out a second copy of all my customers checks to have the appropriate paperwork to show the manager that not all my tables were showing up on tip registra. He replied that he did not know what to tell me. Needless to say I found another job.

      Upper management doesn’t care about the field. Threaten your job regularly and “act” like they’re interested in your development.

      Pros

      Cracker barrel is a great company. My DM and restaurant partners are great to work with and very helpful. There's a lot going on every day so you're never bored.

      Cons

      My hours got cut to 35 hours per week which is insane with the amount of work to do. My store was understaffed when I took over and only 3 months in my hours got cut. It makes it nearly impossible to staff your store with the right people and to get your tasks and administration work done. The financial strain makes it hard to have a family or do anything outside of work.
