Unpaid breaks and lunch

Pros

Working at global star is fun. There are a lot of fun people there.

Cons

The problem is that the upper management is not the best and there is no effort to improve that. Recently we were told that we will no longer get paid for the break and that we will have to work full 8 hours, “9 with our unpaid lunches and beaks”. While the current labor practice is that the employees get a paid break, Globalstar made the move to take off this from us and keep us 30 minute extra every day. This decision upset a lot of customer care rep. some already looking for a new job. Furthermore, %90 of the reps live in south shore and spend 2hours a day going and coming back from work. This make us very unhappy and tired, and all these impact the quality of work and customer experience.

Excellent initial training program - 6 weeks Co-workers are generally helpful and supportive Casual work environment Great benefits Decent pay Interesting to learn about satellite communications technologies

Cons

Management seems directionless Little or no feedback on job performance Conflicting expectations depending on which team lead or manager you ask No training beyond the 1st 6 weeks, even when directly requesting additional training for new/updated products from multiple managers No communication between departments No raises No attempts made for retention of best employees Very much a revolving door for employment Make sure to request the salary you need to live on before being hired, if you ask for a raise managements response invariably is "This obviously isn't the job for you...".
