Pros

Good discounts for clients available, flexibility in working hours during tax season, good training for office processes.

Cons

Terrible culture in office between employees, low pay, unexpected pay cut for preseason work, cliquish culture from one office to another. Other tax preparers spend as much time cutting each other down as they do preparing taxes. Management allows this behavior to continue.

Pros

Coworkers and supervisors are friendly, good team dynamics

Cons

High stress. High intensity. High stakes. On the job training. Constant change in processes, directions, softwares, yearly and midseason. Counterintuitive strategies. Sacrificing clients to maximize profit. Facing clients and still needing to make them happy with the above obstacles.

CEO is in touch with all stakeholders and is transparent with company strategy.

Cons

Compensation for seasonal employees is dismal. Pay is competitive for most roles outside of seasonal roles. Marketing needs to do better for local markets beyond general national campaigns.
