Pros

You get a free treatment once a month or more if you are cool with the nurses.

Cons

I worked at LaserAway for about a year hoping it would get better and it never did. They sell you in the interviews about how it is a great, powerful, meaningful company to be a part of and it is all not true. You have the top earners which is regional and VPs (and higher) for it to be enjoyable. But all of the patient care coordinators (which is also the sales team) are the ones breaking their backs every day and barely getting paid out. You make minimum wage if you work in the clinic, which as we know in 2023 does not take care of people's needs. Then you get 10% commission which is taxed in the highest bracket possible. So, in reality you are not making much money. They do have top earners in each region (remote and in clinic) but they are more likely to be the worst type of sales representatives. Which means they con people into sales and manipulate women into thinking they NEED services. I have interacted with so many customers who got into a contract they were not properly educated about and now they are stuck in a contract that they cannot get out of without getting screwed over completely. At the beginning they act very supportive and encouraging (girl boss type stuff) then after a few months if you are not doing better than your peers, they start applying the pressure. They will use comparison tactics and threaten to change your schedule to have to less-than-ideal shifts or they just flat out threatened to cut your hours and get rid of you. They are smart in having these conversations through phone call or in person because they do not like to have paper trails of the shady behavior. There is a lot of mean girl/ bully behavior from girls in this company, especially from top earners and your bosses. Because at the end of the day you are all fighting for the same paycheck from customers and your bosses make money off your sales. I truly can go on and on about this company and their large, but hidden, faults. If you are thinking about treatments or working here, I would advise against it because you can get the same treatments from other companies that are a fraction of the price. And you can work at other places that truly values you as an employee and not just a number sign to your bosses' paychecks. If your boss thinks you are drinking the tea, they will ask you to go write reviews on these types of sights. I have been asked personally and never did it. A lot of these reviews that are made are so that your boss can get a bonus that month. All reviews online are watched and accounted for, so if they are done well the boss will get an extra bonus, not the people who are actually dealing with patients.

Pros

-Amazing nurses. I love most of my coworkers. -Supportive environment. The work itself is independent but if you need help the regionals and other nurses are always there for you. -Good way to get your foot in the door if you're interested in aesthetics because they will train you with no prior experience. -Free treatments at times and you get a good discount that is only for employees. -Easy to get vacations approved but you need to request them 1.5 months in advance.

Cons

Unfortunately the pros stop there. I used to love working here but I believe Laseraway has been forcing itself to expand way too quickly. It has gone from a small family owned business to a bureaucratic company who cares about profits over EVERYTHING. -Protocols and policies are constantly changing in order to squeeze more and more patients into the schedule causing long wait times for patients and nurse fatigue. -Sales dictates the schedule so appointments are booked back to back, overlapping with one another, they're double booked, etc... and nurses are often encouraged to take appointments in between patients to make sales. -All of this to say, NURSES DO NOT HAVE A VOICE. We have NO say in anything even though we are the ones on the floor treating patients everyday. There are no legitimate avenues to voice concerns and opinions. There are no staff meetings, if you speak up to regional managers they will address your comments but do nothing about them, surveys are sent out and again nothing is done… if anything the policies keep changing for the worse. -PTO accrual is painstakingly slow and you have to work every Saturday or every Sunday. -Equipment is on the older side, things are constantly breaking down.

We appreciate you taking the time to provide thorough feedback with us. We are glad to hear that you are enjoy the autonomy our clinicians have in the clinic and the perks of being part of Team LA. We understand that the changes in protocols and policies can be frustrating, and we are constantly evaluating our processes to ensure that we are providing the best possible care for our patients. We also want to ensure that our nurses have a voice in decision-making and that their concerns are heard. We will be looking for ways to improve communication and provide more opportunities for feedback from our staff.

Pros

The training by Bryan & some treatments you get free 1 x month

Cons

Too many to list but here are a few: LaserAway breeds the culture of stepping on others to get ahead. Senior PCC's will make it impossible for you to meet your goals by limiting your time to talk to current patients- which is where ALL of your business comes from NOT the leads they provide. To add, the leads are NOT warm. They get a minimum of 3 calls & emails a day that by the time you get to them they are begging to be removed from the list. Overall this is a HORRIBLE company with the worst management and unethical/shady sales practices (in-clinic and remote). I hope this review saves someone from making the same mistake I did. However, if you aren't honest and are used to stepping on some throats to get ahead, you will do well here.
