Pros

Mitchell Genex Coventry has some of the best hard working people!

Cons

More concerned about mergers and acquisitions than taking care of its people or adequately staffing certain departments to adequately support the ever increasing end user base.

Pros

Pays the bills, was able to work from home during the pandemic, I really can't think of anything else to be honest

Cons

The company is so large you are only an employee number. The company has reliably reported that they are making money and their stockholders happy, however have denied all employees raises and 401k match for more than a year due to concerns about COVID-19 impacting the company. They have bought out at least two other competing companies during the COVID-19 pandemic, indicating they do have money to pay their employees. The company lacks diversity. When they have charity events, they ask that their employees donate with their own money instead of the company donating. The HQ office does not have recycling bins included with any of its cubicles aside from shred bins. Their medical benefits are terrible, it's pay out of pocket completely until you hit a very high deductible. Minimal bonus benefits, for example a massage therapist coming to the office but you must still pay out of pocket for a 15 minute massage and it will be just as expensive as anywhere else. Minimum amount of vacation and no unpaid time off allowed, not even if you are extremely sick. I've had to go into the office with a 100 degree fever before even after contacting HR. They push this really fake "culture" which is essentially a set of cheesy rules you must abide by, such as "don't go below the line" (don't be negative about work, ever) and "One Mitchell" that outlines you should never verbalize you aren't doing something because it isn't in your job description. For a company requires a computer in order for you to complete your work, forget about tech assistance. I've sat on hold with the IT department for over 30 minutes only to be hung up on. It's basically the equivalent of Comcast's customer service. I would not recommend working for this company unless you are absolutely desperate for a pay check.

Political minefield - Avoid if possible

Pros

If you are lucky, you may get to work with some of the most knowledgable and talented team members who have been with the company for 10+ years and truly understand the ins and outs of the work comp and auto casualty industry.

Cons

Pays below market value. Bonuses are reserved for upper management. Hires unqualified people for key roles within the organizations. Little to no investment made in attracting and growing talented employees. Promotions are handed out based on popularity verses skills and performance. Expect budget cuts and hiring freeze throughout the year. Depending on the role you take on within the org, there will be no work life balance. Little to no appreciation shown towards offshore consultants.
