Pros
If you're right out of college or had menial jobs prior to working for Odyssey, then this job is great. Its an introduction to a professional atmosphere. The benefits are satisfactory and they give you little grief about time off. If you're not a "go-getter" or are apt to make mistakes there is little discipline or penalty. If you are looking for that first entry level position or a place to ride out your days to retirement, Odyssey is the perfect place for you.
Cons
Like the other review, management has little vision and refuses to make changes. There seems to be an overwhelming effort to suppress initiative and competency. Rather than promoting from within, they hire advanced positions from outside the company, or promote on "agreeability" rather than actual ability. In the department I worked, there were dozens of employees that simply could not perform the tasks they were assigned. Rather than replace the employee, the work was simply shuffled to more capable employees, and the other employee was placed in a "no fail" position. Customer needs are routinely overlooked in order to save the company money. Upper management will routinely turn a blind eye to the problems in lower departments as long as there are no customer complaints. All in all, Odyssey could be a great company to work for, but the management and communication structures will ultimately keep them from reaching their full potential.
