Pros

Some friendly coworkers and a select few helpful management team members

Cons

This place is a scam. They scam clients 90% of the time. Upper management scams employees out of commission pay, even when it is written on paper promising to pay certain amount. A lot of the management team is unqualified. Absolutely no job security. Anyone can get fired for anything.

Pros

Initially, you will feel blessed being employed at this company. You will see a lot of "culture" and "perks" throughout the company. They do a great job at keeping their employees entertained with special events, meetings, outings, fundraisers and more. The company is not afraid to drop some $$$ to be flashy for various company events. The people are mostly down to earth depending on which department you're dealing with. Top management is engaged so you really don't feel intimidated when you run into them in the hall way or on the elevator. Basically, if a good social environment is the most important to you when seeking a job, this is a good fit for you. The benefits were pretty good. You get some sort of commission/bonus monthly -- some department's bonus structure is better than others.

Cons

Despite what other reviews say, every single department at OTR is severely UNDERPAID. The only people who get paid anything sustainable are managers, associate directors, top management, and the sales peeps. Even the "team leads" don't make nearly enough to afford a 1 bed room apartment and live comfortably. Most of the positions available are high school graduate levels and if you're a college graduate you will feel like this is the scum at the bottle of the bucket type of job you had to take to gain experience to achieve a better position. The growth they advertise is completely misleading. By growth, you can expect them to give you a new job title or bump you to a II level, up your work load, and pay you a few pennies more or not even give you a raise at all. Most departments are like a high school. There is so much favoritism and gossip you really have to watch who you're friends with. A lot of leaders don't deserve their position and are only there because they have been there since inception or they were friends with the right people. I was tired of working under people I did not respect or believe were capable. You know it's a problem when you can see right through your manager's act -- they have no idea what they're doing. HR only listened. They didn't act. I don't know how many people have gone to HR for the same legitimate reason, and only received words of reassurance while no real action was taken. I used to think HR was that safety bubble you can go to in any company, but after working here, I quickly learned a valuable lesson: HR is always on the company's side.

Pros

No Drug testing involved to get the job. Occasional free lunch. A great coffee machine. It's at a good location for me to arrive. Free office supplies when needed because im a cheepo. The health insurance provided is decent. People are friendly and willing to help.

Cons

hassling people to get their paperwork done. The whole process is not easy for the client. They have to be compliant and complete their homework with us. It isn't a simple one, two , three process. Some clients take over 2 years to complete their case. Case Managers, support, and everyone in different departments have our work very disorganized. Lack of communication between departments and clients make the process very confusing. Pay is also low! I wish the pay here was higher. Once those tax dollars come out of the paycheck, it sure looks thin. Probationary period also sucks. Quota to reach is manageable, but you really have to give up quality of service to our clients in order to maintain or quota quantity (it's impossible otherwise).
