Pros

Great Benefits, Friendly People, Great Perks, Awesome Training environment. Helpful Supervisors, Welcoming Community. Show up to work and put in effort and the company will treat you well. Even after just starting, they went out of their way to accommodate a pre-planned trip.

Cons

The company was just bought by an over seas guy, unsure of what changes will be made in the future. They have put a hold on overtime and free food for the time being.

Ups, but mostly downs

Pros

Insurance, 401k, free cable and internet, it's a job/paycheck.

Cons

Well, during my 2 year 3 month tenure at Suddenlink communications my department received no bonus, no OT, and only a 3% annual raise. There is virtually no room for advancement. While staying in the same department my job title changed 3 times, and my responsibilities never stopped changing. Through all the changes I kept a positive attitude, and did my best for the company. Little did I know that despite repeated reassurances I was training our replacements (contractors), and they laid off half the department. During my exit interview it was made known to us that there had been plans to replace us for over 2 years, and that if we wanted to stay with the company we should have started looking towards other departments then, although we had no way of knowing that. The day that it happened, we were treated like we were at-fault fired, given about a minute to collect what we could before being escorted out of the building, and later had to come back after hours to collect the rest of our belongings.

Suddenlink You Suck

Pros

Nothing than giving you healthcare (if you need it) and free cable. Would not recommend Suddenlink to a blind 3 legged cat.

Cons

Terrible leadership on all levels! Terrible working hours! Forced OT! Treatment of VET's that they hire is terrible, even after they get a tax break for hiring them. Trainers could care less before placing someone on the phones as they know less than some of the phone techs on the floor. Maybe you will receive a yearly raise of 30 cents and hour more, if that much. Coaches do nothing to help techs on the floor. The tech next to you most likely is a felon, Suddenlink hires felons. Techs that steal get more praise then techs that do their job the right way. Their family first values are BS.
