Pros

Number one in Solar and Safety far exceeds everyone else.

Cons

Not enough manpower on the onsite safety team. They always try to run the project with only one safety. Moving up the ladder is doubtful in safety. They would rather hire outside the company rather than promote from within. If RES can get you to fill a role without paying you for it they will.

We appreciate your feedback on the culture that exists on site among operations & safety. RES has implemented a Safety Improvement Plan in effect until 2025 where we are working to improve our Company Culture. Staffing is a challenge in today’s market, specifically within Solar Construction. We are working hard to fill our open roles by recruiting & hiring internally. RES staffs at least two (2) Safety Supervisors per Solar Project. RES has promoted at least two (2) Safety Supervisors into the HSQE Manager Role since 2020 within both the Wind & Solar Business Units. We are working to do more of the same within RES Canada now in FY23.

Pros

A once great company, that seemingly wants to improve but continues to chase its own tail.

Cons

The McCalpines obviously don't give a damn about what happens to the US business, because they lose money on EVERY job. I guess it doesn't matter since it is just a laundering/shelter company anyway @IRS. ) star review. People Culture, LOL what an insult to the employees, good marketing though. PACE? Where?

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While it was certainly disappointing to read, we do take it very seriously. Our aim is to create an inclusive culture where all RES employees feel welcome and can do their best work on behalf of our clients. Empowering our people to participate in events such as Pride alongside members of our executive leadership team is just one way in which we do this. The company did pay employee bonuses for 2022, while also investing in our new Americas headquarters in Denver – which opened in January and now serves as home to more than 200 employees and our future operations control center. We selected the office location specifically to improve diversity in our hiring and to improve employee retention by providing better access to public transportation. RES has been a leader in the development, construction and operations of solar, wind and storage facilities for more than 40 years, and we expect a bright future in the Americas.
