Sluggish place run by HR, will retaliate the moment you resign

Pros

* Was an innovative company with a high purpose (keep every home secure) * Strategy made sense * Free home monitoring services for employees

Cons

* Leadership falls short on executing the strategy. Communication is weak and often too lengthy and confusing * HR is incredibly well-staffed. The biggest HR team I have seen for this size of business. CEO clearly favors the HR team * Very calculating leadership team. Tells you that you do a great job. But if you ever dare to leave the company, they will slam the door in your face and retaliate. You’d think they can do better and be the big boy or girl, particularly with such a big HR team.

Worst company ever to work for

Pros

SOME benefits are good and the work tech stack is decent.

Cons

There's zero empathy in this company's leaders. The manager, HR, and Director lack leadership qualities and empathy. If you are struggling or let's say have a doubt, they won't give you time to cope up. They talk behind your back and judge you. There's a lack of communication and lots of nepotism. HEARTLESS people in the E-commerce team.

Great Benefits, Easy Schedule

Pros

Great benefits, diverse workplace, and Chad is a really good guy. They're not a greedy company in the least. If you show up to work on time and ready to work, you will have no problems. There are some really GREAT personalities at this company - I found a handful of lifelong friends.

Cons

A bit like high school in a lot of aspects. Lots of inner-office romancing and sexual tension - to the point that you felt uncomfortable being around certain teams. A little too liberal without any sensitivity training, specifically on sensitivity to transgender workers. I saw a new employee get fired for referring to a He as She, and based off of my impression of the screenshot - he wasn't trying to be a jerk, he truly just didn't know any better. Also, there was no communication between customer service and anyone else in the company. Customers would have legitimate complaints about the products and our line was "Sure, I'll absolutely forward that to Development." But we had absolutely no access to Development. Reps simply got dismissed when forwarding this info to the supervisors.
