      Terrible management

      Pros

      No pros that I could find at all.

      Cons

      Low pay, minimal benefits, very cheap and unprofessional management that look down on their employees. The company is growing but the only people benefitting from it are the owners (CEO/COO). They have no respect for your time, your opinions, and tend to seriously micromamage. You will hear all about their family, their children, their accomplishments, their wants, their needs, etc., but nothing like that related to the employees is relevant to them.

      The fact that you have no pros listed, clearly show how hurt you are and I am really sorry you feel the way you feel. We do not look down on employees, but absolutely look down on poor performance. We will try to do a better job communicating to ensure that this difference is recognized in our interactions. For potential employees in future reading this, note that the management has no intention to lower the performance standards, and will not tolerate poor performance. Respect is only earned by excellent performance. We believe in candor, and unlike large corporations where there is an opportunity to "slide by" there is no room to hide. Trust - but Verify - that is how we operate. Join us, but only if you feel you are among the top of your game. Otherwise, it will be a miserable experience for both - you, us.

      Thank you for your feedback. We actually do support transfers to other departments, based on the employee interest and the departmental needs. I encourage you to express your interest, and VERY IMPORTANTLY, provide a rationale on why the move is justified. e.g. If you are in the marketing team, but have a GIS background, you want to communicate why you should be in the IT/GIS team and how you will add value. I sincerely hope that you can continue to have a learning opportunity here as university students, and transition to a more responsible role upon graduation :)

      Dysfunctional Workplace

      Beautiful modern workplace, that is all that's positive.

      Cons

      The workers and management seem to be out of sync. The culture is deadline based and one where fear is used as the primary motivation.

      Thank you for continuing to support VSolvit values even after you depart. You are absolutely correct in identifying the importance of deadlines to us as an organization. We live in a competitive world, where we HAVE to perform better, faster and cheaper than yesterday. We have to embrace deadlines set by our customers, and often, our customers have deadlines imposed on them by their customers. For all potential job seekers who are interested in VSolvit, this is NOT for the faint of heart. We are driven by deadline. Top performance is not optional, but mandatory. People love us or hate us... and nothing wrong with that. We recognize that we are not the right organization for everyone. If you like fast paced, high learning, high octane workplace, Welcome!! I think you will like what we have to offer.
