Pros

As the title states, support to focus on my role here from my Director is 2nd to none. I have been armed with some of the best training in my first 5 months here then I have received in the 14 years I have been in the industry. I have had a strong in DevOps, I sent one email to my Director with the interest, not only have I been granted 3 trainings thus far cover Cisco Cloud Connect to Docker, but I am bring flown down to VA for Cisco App Dynamics training next month. Benifits are good and the salary is very competitive. When being flown down to Herdon, VA, I was greeted by the CEO Mark Marron himself, SVPs, VPs and Directors, they all took the time to meet the new hires, listen and get to know us at dinner each night as well. Culture is some of the best culture I have experianced in a long time. There is some real top talent here and everyone is willing to help everyone, even if it is across the country out of region.

Cons

The company being publically tradef are very risk aware, so that the company does not take on risk, I have heard it can slow down some processes, I have not experianced this.

ePlus is a mirage

Pros

Don't believe the good reviews, they're posted by HR and any manager looking to hire. Take a look at LinkedIn and see how many people have left in the last year alone. Look at the people who work there. Notice how long they've been in the SAME POSITION. People are leaving the company because it's not a place to grow for anyone in any shape or form. They're so desperate to fill positions …

Cons

Horrible leaders, who have no relevant experience. Managers who can't lead or train anyone. HR team doesn't know HR at all. Namely puts out so many best practices articles and videos that they don't follow. I've never heard anything positive about the HR team from anyone EVER! It's actually the opposite. ePlus is Very Toxic. CEO is too busy schmoozing and trying to be cool with the sales team to know what really goes on. There is no transparency or integrity at ePlus whatsoever. Do not take a job in channel or security, or any supporting roles, you will be worked to death. There is no work life balance at all. Any other department you can skate by if you kiss enough butt. Or if you're good at acting "busy" and don't want to learn or grow, work at ePlus. No training or communication between departments. Emails are monitored and you get micro-managed. They usually yell then asks questions later.

Thank you for your post. We value all feedback. We're sorry you had an unpleasant experience. ePlus has a lower than average turnover rate and approximately 50% of our new hires come from employee referrals. We hope that all employees reach out to their management, HR team or our anonymous third-party resources if they have concerns, so that all issues can be addressed and resolved.

Pros

Company has a relaxed atmosphere, not a ton of turnover. Commission is un-capped. Conservatively run business operations and finance, upper mgmt flexible in taking company into the direction of emerging tech; creates job stability.

Cons

Can be tough to move up depending on department. Pay can also be on the lower end of the scale related to area/position, nepotism not taken into consideration of course. Not a ton of "culture" or team building for the bulk of the company's employees. Still a family/friend run company at it's heart, almost all legacy execs had relationships prior to coming together at ePlus.

Thank you for your feedback about working at ePlus. While we have over 1300 employees, ePlus still has the feel of a small company. We encourage hiring through employee referrals, which accounts for about 50% of our new hires. We encourage you to work with your management and HR team on growth or transitional opportunities so you can make the most of your career at ePlus.
