High stress. High intensity. High stakes. On the job training. Constant change in processes, directions, softwares, yearly and midseason. Counterintuitive strategies. Sacrificing clients to maximize profit. Facing clients and still needing to make them happy with the above obstacles.

Good discounts for clients available, flexibility in working hours during tax season, good training for office processes.

Cons

Terrible culture in office between employees, low pay, unexpected pay cut for preseason work, cliquish culture from one office to another. Other tax preparers spend as much time cutting each other down as they do preparing taxes. Management allows this behavior to continue.

The work environment was friendly, collaborative, and professional. Everyone, from front-line staff to the management team, was approachable and always willing to help. I especially appreciated how much emphasis was placed on client satisfaction and accurate service. I learned how to handle real client interactions, reconcile tax documents, and provide personalized guidance — all of which added value to my skill set. Great place to work if you’re looking to grow in the financial services or tax industry.
