The structure of the company looks great on the surface. And it's a great place to learn With there online modules . The pay was fair at the time With the potential for promotion.

Cons

Pay structure was changeand in early 2023 Which means you made less. Management, including uppermanagement, is too busy promoting themselves. To really tackle the issues that are in the salon environment. And If you happen to get promotion they may not honor it. Also they're very deceptive

Astounding Career Opportunities for Colorists

As a part time colorist, my schedule was flexible and I loved always having a full book without having to do any of my own booking or marketing. The team was fun, management was kind, and the pay was really fair. I was wildly impressed with he education was top-- the balayage class was better than ones that I had spent MANY HUNDREDS of my own dollars on. During the first year of covid shut downs, I was able to move to Color Crew, our online customer service team. Working for Madison Reed full time really brought to life the way we live our values and I fell in love with doing hair in a whole new way doing consultations and color corrections via text/phone/email. And then they taught me how to be a recruiter :) I was fully trained and consistently supported in entering an entirely new career in HR. Madison Reed has given me all the tools I needed to thrive.

I don't have much time to get my hands into hair as much anymore :)

-The pay is really low, especially with this economy -Realistic Expectations; some clients just take a little longer, they need hand holding -Snarky comments coming from leadership -Lack of communication -Training isn't organized

Cons

The timing allowed for services arei realistic. Shampoo and a blow dry in 30 min? U don't get off on time ever.

Poor management, one role fulfills at least 5 jobs, stressful, hard to advance, not much room for growth unless you want to be management, decent base pay but needs to improve with inflated cost of living

Salary pay You will receive bonuses monthly not large amounts but enough to increase your check you can boost income by add on services and promos

Cons

Leadership is not good. You have no direction or they don’t understand what’s it’s like to take 30 people a day. It’s rand like a drybar. More guest less workers for the demand. It’s a conveyer belt.
