Left to Sink in a Failing System

Pros

Some brilliant individuals within the company.

Cons

The workplace lacks collaboration, with little to no training or onboarding support. There’s an unspoken expectation that new employees should already know everything, which creates a high-pressure and isolating environment. Internal systems and tools are consistently faulting and difficult to understand, and support from within the organisation is minimal. It’s certainly a sink-or-swim culture, where you’re left to figure things out entirely on your own. Recent redundancies have only made things worse, with decisions appearing reactive and poorly thought through, adding to the instability and low morale.

Thank you for sharing your experience. While we’re glad to hear you’ve encountered brilliant individuals within the team, we’re genuinely sorry to learn that your time at RES has left you feeling unsupported and isolated.Your comments around onboarding, internal systems, and the impacts of recent organisational changes are taken seriously. We acknowledge that this period has been particularly challenging, and we’re actively reviewing how we support new employees, improve collaboration, and strengthen communication during times of change.Feedback like yours is critical in helping us understand where we need to do better. We are committed to creating a more stable, inclusive, and supportive environment for all our people — and that includes addressing the areas you’ve raised around leadership and training.Thank you again for your openness and your contribution during your time with RES.
