Cons
They’re getting cheaper by the day, and are now charging employees for apparel. Yes, employees now pay for their SimpliSafe branded shirts and hoodies. Holiday bonus is now gone. We constantly stock out of inventory because we’re “running lean”. There is practically no communication or transparency from leadership. Departures and promotions go unannounced. We read about recent funding in a newspaper article. New hires just show up on Zoom without any introduction from management. When they do get introduced, the manager does all the talking and the new employee doesn’t even get face time or the chance to speak for themselves. Cannot get a new product right. Constant delays and false starts. Very discouraging for a company who claims to be innovative. As we grow, there are more and more levels of Directors and Sr. Directors added to the teams. This is creating several layers of management and manager level employees having less and less autonomy and control.
