Pros

Promotes diversity, decent pay, great benefits & some managers are very supportive

Cons

Constant changes all the time, company is focused way more on their technology & not the actual color line, training is mostly virtual & not hands on, the appointments are rushed making Covid regulations tricky during busy times & pressure to sell memberships even if not in client’s best interest.

Hi there Former Employee - thank you for taking time to leave us your feedback. We hear you, during times like these, this year has certainly undergone a lot of change. Throughout the changes, we have been continuing to grow as a company, which has been exciting, but also very new and unprecedented. Your employment experience is important to us, and we invite you to contact us directly at hr@madison-reed.com to better understand from you how we may want to adjust and improve. We also want to assure you that we do have a team that works together to prepare and open brand new color bars, and we have been hiring additional new team members to help support our growth and expansion. Again, we truly thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

Pros

If you have a cosmetology license but you would rather work at a call center... Go for it! This is a professional environment.

Cons

This company is almost 5 years old. There is no official training program so you constantly get different answers for the same questions. When you ask for help with something, they tell you to check your "docs" for steps on how to proceed. Afterwards, you still have the same question because the company documents are not up to date. I got the impression that the employees who have been here the longest know everything, and they are always right. If you are new hire, your knowledge is not needed. Just do exactly what they say and go home.

Pros

This is a great company if you are wanting to grow in skill, push yourself, and help actually build the company as they are expanding. They have some amazing events for the team, like a chocolate fountain with all the fixings for birthday and anniversaries celebration, holiday parties, and quarterly game nights. The office vibe is fun and open, not your typical cubical feel which is a nice change, though it can be loud sometimes. Lastly, I have to talk about the culture. The CEO, Amy is always around and will walk up and talk to you through the day, and these are genuine conversations which is so rare to find in companies now a days. There is also a vibe of family here, the team lives by the values when they are in building and truly care how you are doing or if you need help with things.

Cons

This business is so new that there is not a lot of structure yet for role clarity or a growth path, though it is known that this is being built. Training is also a bit unclear, no structure and is all learn on the fly for most roles.

Pros

The pay, benefits and the products

Cons

If you’re an assistant and it’s completely short staff which is all the time they overbook there clients to the point you barely get a lunch break and overwhelmed all day , you barely get a life outside of work, the place is very unorganized, and there’s barely any hands on training. This company only cares about money and not there employees, the turnover with them is insane and you will get very burnt out fast!
