Pros

Per-Diem, High Base Salary, Robust operations

Cons

Bonus Structure. The current CEO/COO have rolled out a convoluted bonus structure based on the performance of the project. The bonus plan alludes to an mid project bonus for projects that last longer than 16 months. The leadership has yet to pay out this "mid project completion bonus" for one project that is nearing completion. The structure of this bonus plan allows leadership to manipulate the mid project completion metrics as needed.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We recognize that our construction bonus program structure is complex. We do have a team working to address this, and we’d welcome the opportunity to talk about this with you directly.

Pros

They are a small and nimble in the Canadian market, and often punch above their weight. Huuuge pipeline of projects from coast to coast = plenty of opportunities to make your mark.

Cons

Management often chases too many opportunities and stretches their staff a bit thin. Management tends to pivot their employees scope of work too often, which is probably a symptom of chasing too many opportunties and being understaffed.

Pros

Great benefits, genuine culture of care, genuine flexibility, genuine investment in personal development and support from colleagues and managers.

Cons

RES is a global company so while I find it to be a huge benefit to collaborate with colleagues around the globe, sometimes meeting times can be at odd times to accommodate different time zones (not like these meetings happen every day though so not a huge issue, just a minor inconvenience).
