Thank you for your open and honest review. We’re happy to hear you had a chance to work with the many great people at RES and be part of the team atmosphere we’re working hard to nurture. We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without, as you say, “smart employees willing to teach and share.” This is a challenging time for our industry as a whole, with many companies having to evolve quickly to meet the pace of change. We’re lucky to have so many dedicated people working together in line with our values to drive RES forward, and we have every confidence that we’re equal to the challenges of the present moment.

Pros

You can get a chance to work from scratch to finish of a project that adds a significant value in your knowledge. The contract, design, testing, construction experiences give you enough knowledge for your next move. Young co-workers - so you will not get bored.

Cons

A severe disconnection between engineering and project management and developers. Project management and developers ignore the engineering part and that leads to some funky bids for a project when submitted. So here's a billion dollar question - if you think that you are a Nobel Laureate who finds fun in doing innovative research 24/7, what are you doing at RES? Put your feet on the ground.

Pros

Per-Diem, High Base Salary, Robust operations

Cons

Bonus Structure. The current CEO/COO have rolled out a convoluted bonus structure based on the performance of the project. The bonus plan alludes to an mid project bonus for projects that last longer than 16 months. The leadership has yet to pay out this "mid project completion bonus" for one project that is nearing completion. The structure of this bonus plan allows leadership to manipulate the mid project completion metrics as needed.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We recognize that our construction bonus program structure is complex. We do have a team working to address this, and we’d welcome the opportunity to talk about this with you directly.
